After graduating from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign with a degree in Computer Science and Math and a minor in Spanish, I began my career as a software developer, later moving into management and, finally, becoming a coach.
My wide range of hands-on experiences include years of working as a ScrumMaster, a program manager and a coach to build great teams and help them deliver best-in-class products. While at Salesforce, Nike Digital and Ancestry, I set up processes to empower teams to self-organize and to increase their effectiveness with Agile best practices; I’ve also worked at companies during high growth periods and helped them scale effectively and remain successful as they grew.
As a teacher and a speaker, I focus on getting people excited about their future by empowering everyone I work with to own their successful outcomes. I leverage creative problem solving and techniques from several Agile methodologies and Relationship System Coaching (ORSC) to create efficient and effective solutions for each situation.
I’m a strong supporter of diversity and inclusion, not only because I believe it’s the right thing to do, but also because I recognize it as a business imperative in this increasingly globalized world. I strive to empower all voices by respecting each individual’s unique perspective.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, dance and yoga. I’m a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and I use philosophy from my martial arts practice in my coaching and in my training.
